**Job Description**:
CEDA is currently hiring a 2nd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic for our shop in Conklin AB.

We’re a small team, you’ll get to know the people as well as you know the equipment. The variety of interesting equipment with specialty components combined with the tools needed to do great work are a few reasons our shop team loves working here.

- ** Variety of equipment to work on**:from skid steers to T&E Pumps on pressure and vacuum equipment (Cummins, Paccar, and loaders too)
- ** Safety is number 1**: we watch out for one another and pride ourselves in doing the work right the first time

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Preventative maintenance on Vacuum trucks, Combos, Water Trucks, Tankers, Skid-steers and Pressure Trucks
- Ongoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines, after treatment/emissions, hydraulic systems and pumps
- Troubleshoot issues, inspect equipment and replace or repair defective parts
- Interpret work orders
- Occasionally attend service calls in the field
- Work alongside Journeyman to learn and develop your skills
- Attend daily tool-box and safety meetings as scheduled
- Other duties as assigned

**Role Specifications**:

- 2nd year Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician required
- Valid class 5 Driver’s licence required with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years
- Class 1 or 3 licence considered an asset
- Experience in hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is an asset
- Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Able to provide your own tools

- You’re eager to learn and thrive in a busy shop environment
