Document Control Specialist

**The Role**:
The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for working with the Quality Assurance departments in a dynamic production environment. They should possess sound knowledge of standard concepts, practices and methodologies within the Quality Control and Quality Assurance fields. A positive attitude, flexibility, initiative, organization, creativity, and reliability are desired qualities for this role to promote a collaborative culture. You will work under limited supervision, be responsible for documents that are used on the production floor and in daily operations are properly maintained and controlled per ISO standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Creation of documentation required in support of daily operations for all departments, including forms, work instructions, procedures, and associated documents, along with updates to the ISO9001:2015/ ISO14001 QMS system (audit readiness to ISO standards).
- Updates existing documents as required to maintain ISO certification, including company’s Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, Environment Policy, organizational chart, and training matrix.
- Maintain the structure and integrity of the documentation control system, updating required matrixes as needed to control internal and external sourced documentation.
- Document control system nomenclature control (issuing of documentation control numbers and revisions) This data may be in paper and electronic forms, or both in some cases.
- Process material/ product/ process certifications, ensuring specifications are met to KDS requirements and that the certifications are filed appropriately in our ERP and data systems.
- Track and input for Quality OKRs and auditing
- Develop needed spreadsheet documents and systems for additionally required data matrixes.
- Maintain and update vendor/supplier status including approval (KDS) and certifications status.
- Review and approve all required supplier documentation in a timely manner as acceptance or rejection of shipment.
- Control and place supplier documents accordingly.

- Ability to format documents/labels to the specific needs of each customer.
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, organized, and able to work in a deadline driven environment.
