This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule to be discussed with the hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.
Role
As Scheduling Co-ordinator, you are responsible for vetting and co-ordinating the flow of information among all relevant departments in order to determine broadcast schedules based on radio lineups.
Description of Duties:
- Review documentation and information from a variety of sources to identify and vet data related to programming lineups, schedules, broadcasting terms and conditions, etc.- Complete and manage information related to the broadcast of programs/series and one-off productions in WideOrbit; code the relevant CRTC information.- Based on radio program slotting, determine broadcast schedules in the WideOrbit system.- Analyze data; create, code and manage broadcast sources and platforms.- Co-ordinate all activities surrounding programming changes, whether planned or caused by unexpected events. Analyze the impact of programming or other changes in order to make the required adjustments; follow up, take necessary remedial action and notify the affected departments (regional stations, Communications, Radio Traffic, Media Presentation Centre, Archives).- Record programs for rebroadcast and archival purposes.- Book broadcast circuits in ScheduLink.- Attend special-event production meetings.- Track trouble reports.- Work closely with the Senior Co-ordinator.- Draft personal services or freelance contracts by job type based on pre-established templates, following up on signatures and preparing payroll transactions.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent.- Three or more years’ experience performing related duties.- Experience analyzing a variety of documents and entering data in multiple system interfaces a major asset.-
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems that are varied in nature.- Interest in performing tasks that demand precision and attention to detail.- Ability to manage stress and work well under pressure.- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge:
- Very good knowledge of Windows and the Google Workspace environment.- Very good knowledge of spoken and written French.- Knowledge of scheduling software.- Good knowledge of radio and programming produced by Radio-Canada’s Radio and Audio teams.- Familiarity with the WideOrbit scheduling system.- Knowledge of ScheduLink.- Knowledge of broadcasting principles.- Knowledge of English an asset.
