**Role Overview**

BiziSul is seeking a **hands-on Plant Manager** to run day-to-day operations at our sulphur bentonite manufacturing facility in Blackfalds, AB. This is a **local, on-site leadership role** for someone who is technically competent, safety-driven, and fully comfortable operating and managing **steam-based systems**.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Operations & Production**_
- Own daily plant operations: production output, uptime, quality, and efficiency
- Plan and execute production schedules aligned with sales and logistics
- Oversee sulphur bentonite blending, production, packaging, and shipping
- Actively troubleshoot process and mechanical issues in real time
- **Steam & Thermal Systems**_
- Operate and supervise **steam boilers and steam-driven processes**:

- Ensure boilers, pressure vessels, and related systems are operated safely and within regulations
- Coordinate boiler inspections, maintenance, and documentation
- Work with ABSA to ensure compliance meets operational goals at the plant
- **Safety & Compliance**_
- Promote safety that aligns with operational goals and a net zero environment and culture
- Ensure compliance with OH&S, environmental, and hazardous materials regulations
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, incident investigations, and corrective actions
- Maintain and enforce plant SOPs
- Assist HSE with the training and enforcement of safety culture
- Promote industrial hygiene in a hazardous manufacturing environment
- **People & Leadership**_
- Lead and schedule plant operators and maintenance staff
- Train operators on equipment, processes, and steam safety
- Set expectations and hold the team accountable
- Build a disciplines, reliable operating culture
- Curate and maintain a good communication strategy between Operations, Safety, Logistics, Sales, Administration, and Management
- **Maintenance & Assets**_
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance
- Monitor conditions of mixers, conveyors, pumps, silos, and boilers and critical equipment
- Minimize unplanned downtime through proactive planning
- Communicate maintenance planning with all teams and discuss outcomes
- **Reporting & Communication**_
- Report production, safety, downtime, and inventory metrics to senior leadership
- Coordinate closely with logistics, sales, and management teams

**Mandatory Qualifications**
- **Valid Alberta Class 4 or 5 Steam Ticket**:

- 5+ years experience in industrial manufacturing or bulk materials processing
- Direct experience with **steam boilers and pressure systems**:

- Experience in fertilizer, sulphur, chemical, mining, or ag-processing environments
- Strong understanding of industrial safety and compliance
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable on the plant floor

Pay: $100,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
