**Position Overview**:
As a Cashier at J-Mart, you will be the friendly face that greets our customers, processes transactions efficiently, maintains the store in an aesthetic manner, and ensures that each visitor leaves with a smile. You'll have the opportunity to showcase your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and passion for delivering top-notch service in a welcoming retail environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
- Process payments using our point-of-sale system
- Handle cash and card transactions with precision and honesty
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized store area
- Provide assistance to customers with inquiries or special requests
- Stock shelves, arrange merchandise in an aesthetic manner
- You will be trained to understand basic Japanese merchandise and deli items

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred, but not required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to speak Japanese, Korean, Mandarin/Cantonese is an asset
- Ability to work effectively and on-task under mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
