Toronto, Canada Upper Village Veterinary Hospital Full time

Responsibilities:

- Prep for/assist in surgeries and post op care
- Provide daily care and husbandry for patients
- Monitor and maintain animal health and welfare
- Clean and sanitize animal housing areas as well as maintaining cleanliness in other areas of the hospital (exam rooms, client areas)
- Prepare and provide appropriate diets and water for animals
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff
- Assist in the collection of samples for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records of animal observations, treatments, and procedures
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with animals preferred
- Knowledge of animal care and handling techniques
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Shifts will be 8am-1pm Mon-Fri and rotating Saturdays, more full time hours available in the very near future as the clinic needs are growing.

Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
