Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Purchasing Administrator plays an integral part in our procurement processes by communicating with suppliers, monitoring orders, and handling key administrative tasks.

As the** Purchasing Administrator,** you will be responsible to:

- Work collaboratively with the procurement team to provide administrative support with the purchasing and scheduling of project materials to meet the construction schedule requirements;
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price and obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items;
- Ensure accurate documentation and compare product deliveries with issued purchase orders to ensure there are no discrepancies;
- Monitor orders and verify purchase requisitions by comparing requested items to price lists, clarifying unclear items, and recommending alternatives;
- Work with warehouse team to monitor stock and ensure product arrives in good condition;
- Provide support to colleagues to ensure efficient operations and manage requests for office and shop supplies as needed;
- Generate, process, and review open purchase and transfer orders;
- Keep organized records, update internal databases and assist with the filing of documents;
- Establish positive working relationships with all external and internal stakeholders;
- Take a proactive and professional approach to problem-solving and have strong organizational abilities.

**Your Experience**:

- Relevant post-secondary education in Operations Management, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering, combined with 1-3 years’ experience in purchasing or similar role;
- Commercial construction industry experience with a focus in Division 8 and 10 scopes of work is considered a strong asset;
- Good understanding of procurement methods and supply chain procedures;
- Experience using ERP/procurement software is considered an asset;
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite with high proficiency in Excel.

- Strong aptitude for learning with the ability to take on progressively challenging tasks over time;
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues across our company, maintaining our close-knit, team-oriented culture.
