**Shop Helper**

Fisher Wavy is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a willingness to learn to fill the position of Shop Helper in Greater Sudbury. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive wages and a benefits package.

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Provide hands-on support to mechanics with tasks related to vehicle and equipment repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Perform cleaning, organization, and maintenance of both the shop and the yard.
- Wash and clean vehicles as required.
- Move vehicles and equipment.
- Perform regular lubrication and basic maintenance of equipment and vehicles as directed.
- Assist with minor repairs and troubleshooting under the supervision of senior mechanics.
- Assist as needed with tasks including but not limited to parts inventory, tool maintenance, and other duties related to operational needs.
- Monday to Friday, afternoon shifts.
- Display professionalism toward our company and customers.
- Must maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment.
- Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- Valid G class driver’s license is required.
- Previous experience in a mechanic shop or related environment is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes is considered an asset.
- High school diploma is considered an asset.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and take instructions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure work quality and compliance are being appropriately monitored through inspections and observations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
