**Position Summary**:
The Admitting Clerk will perform related documentation duties necessary for booking procedures, receiving patients and visitors as well as ensuring the orderly operation of the Cardiodiagnostics/Cardiac Clinics.

**Responsibilities**:

- Acting as a receptionist for the clinics
- Organizing bookings
- Filing
- Processing orders for Radiology, Lab, and other tests
- Computer work which would include creating and distributing lists of appointments and maintaining statistics
- Other duties as assigned

**Position Requirements**:

- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Graduate of a formal medical terminology program
- Keyboard at 50 wpm, plus experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work and function efficiently under stressful situations
- Excellent interpersonal/verbal communication skills and ability to prioritize
- Possess a pleasant and professional telephone manner
- Must be able to exercise tact and diplomacy when dealing with complaints from patients, doctors and staff
- Positive work record; good attendance record is essential
