We have an immediate need for 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year Plumbing Apprentices in Metro Vancouver - APPLY TODAY

Omega Mechanical is the largest and most-rapidly growing mechanical contractor in western Canada. We specialize in designing and installing commercial, institutional and residential mechanical systems in new developments in the Greater Vancouver area. We are looking to expand our team with talented apprentices who want to join an innovative organization where their work is valued.

**Experience prerequisites**

Pre-Apprentice: No work experience required. Trades Discovery, Trades Foundations courses considered an asset but not required

1st year Apprentice: 1-2 years of general construction and/or plumbing experience. Successful completion of first year plumbing technical training.

2nd year Apprentice: 2-3 years of general construction and/or plumbing experience. Successful completion of 2nd year plumbing technical training.

3rd year Apprentice: 3-4 years of general construction and/or plumbing experience. Successful completion of 3rd year plumbing technical training.

4th year Apprentice: 4+ years of general constructions and/or plumbing experience. Successful completion of 4th year plumbing technical training.

- All field staff are either a Red Seal Journeyman or registered as an Apprentice to become one. Our commitment to ongoing education and training keeps us at the top in our field. Apprentice compensation is reviewed monthly,
- New to the trade and don't have tools? For those beginning their apprenticeship with Omega we offer an essential tool kit exclusively to new hires. We deduct the cost over the first few pay cheques. After 1 year of employment, we reimburse the cost of the tools back.
- We provide access to career development opportunities through regular check-ins and we facilitate immediate ITA sponsorship that is driven by employee goals.

**Typical job duties/tasks of Plumbing Apprentices**:

- Build and assemble plumbing installations in commercial, institutional, and residential environment
- Operate workshop equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Handle and store plumbing supplies and materials
- Read and interpret installation drawings

**Job requirements of Plumbing Apprentices**
- Work in accordance with site safety requirements.
- Communicate with colleagues, trades, and sub-trades in a professional manor.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Contribute to site/company culture by completing job duties with a positive attitude.
