**Atrium Inn Vancouver is seeking a Maintenance Manager to take the lead in of our in house Maintenance department. The hotel has just completed guest room renovations so we are looking for someone to take the lead on coordinating with contractors and ensure we have a strong plan going forward to take care of our newly refreshed product. Role will also involve leading and directing maintenance staff on day to day work.**

Supervising maintenance staff: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing a team of maintenance personnel, assigning tasks, and ensuring that all work is completed on time and to the required standards.

Conducting regular inspections: They perform routine inspections of the hotel facilities to identify any maintenance issues or safety hazards. This includes checking plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC units, and other equipment.

Responding to maintenance requests: The Maintenance Manager handles incoming maintenance requests from guests, staff, or other departments. They prioritize these requests based on urgency and allocate resources accordingly.

Planning and scheduling preventative maintenance: They develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure that all equipment and systems are regularly serviced and maintained to prevent breakdowns and costly repairs.

Managing maintenance budget: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for tracking expenses related to maintenance operations and managing the maintenance budget effectively. They work with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective solutions.

Ordering and inventory management: They oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and that necessary items are always available.

Training and development: The Maintenance Manager provides training and guidance to maintenance staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their tasks effectively and safely.

Liaising with other departments: They collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping, front desk, and engineering, to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to guests.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations: The Maintenance Manager ensures that all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.

Keeping records: They maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. They may also prepare reports on maintenance performance and present them to management.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
