Summer Camp Manager- Park Royal

**The Opportunity** - Pedalheads Camp Managers are responsible for managing all activities at their respective camps - You don’t have to be a bike expert because we provide training for our programs for you to get going in your new role - ** WORK DATES**: June 30th - August 29th, 2025 - ** LOCATION**:Our Park Royal South camp is a combined Trail & Swim program. - ** WAGE**:$20.00 - 25.000 /hour **What you’d be responsible for** In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build, in this role, you’ll also be: **Staffing** - Curriculum delivery - ensure Instructors are following Trail schedules, activities, skill development etc. as per the Trail Instructor Manual and Training - Communicate directly with Regional Manager regarding questions/concerns about the program - Mentor and motivate the Trail staff team, conduct daily huddle talk, create a fun and safe environment to work - Deal with employee relations issues consults with Regional Manager or HR for further guidance - Ensures payroll hours have been clocked in/out by staff weekly **Camp Operations** - Camp Leaders are in charge of all Pedalheads Trail programs at the camp - Ensuring the transition from Trail to Swim is completed safely and smoothly - Responsible for Trail camp phone for parents and Customer Care to reach campers in the Trail programs - Responsible for overseeing and facilitating camp sign-in and sign-out each day, as well as making class switches when necessary - Responsible for managing and maintaining camp equipment inventory i.e. first aid kits, tool kits, report cards - Liaises with the staff and management at the facilities where the camp's "home base" camp is (if applicable) - Communicates and regularly updates the Regional Manager and/or Camp Support team - Prints weekly Pedalheads Trail class lists **Customer Relations** - Proactively engages with parents and children on camp - Deals with any complaints in a timely manner and advises the Regional Manager of complaint/action steps taken/outcome - Works with Customer Care throughout the season to advise of any customer events, changes, issues, registrations, etc. **Teaching and Training** - Will follow staffing guideline and, therefore, may teach in the Pedalheads Trail program depending on registration - Attends Camp Leader Training sessions - Familiarizes themselves with and teaches Instructors details of local trail systeM/Features around camp/weekly schedule of trail use - Set-up and oversee Monday on-camp assessment **Skills, knowledge and experience** Here are some of the skills/ specifics and experience that are important for this role: - We are looking for people with experience managing, coaching, or supervising youths ages 13 through 24, preferably in a camp or sport environment. - They will be dynamic leaders who bring out the best in their teams through mentorship, motivation, and hands-on leadership. - Hold or willing to get a current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificate. - You have access to a bike and helmet and are able to ride a bike proficiently. **Who are we**: We are a fast-growing leader in children’s programming who offer high-quality bike and swimming lessons across North America. **Why you’ll love working at Pedalheads**: - You will:_ - Gain leadership experience and growth opportunities that develop you for any future career - Work with people in a fun, team environment where peer friendships often last a lifetime - Work daytime hours outdoors with no weekend work (work in sunglasses and comfy attire) - Inspire kids to believe in themselves.
