**Learning & Development Specialist**:
Do you live and breathe Learning and Development? Are you looking for a foundational role that would enable you to build from scratch and make a huge impact? This might just be the role you've been looking for

We are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist, passionate about teaching, to create, build and enable learning programs that will support our Shakepay employees' learning journey. Reporting to our _People and Culture Lead_, you will design, develop, maintain, and deliver learning solutions for a distributed team of employees across Canada. Your primary focus will be to build out and deliver learning programs geared towards our growing leadership team. You will also have the opportunity to stretch into other projects as you identify gaps and areas of growth. In other words, lots of room to make this role your own.

**You will**:

- Design, develop, maintain, and deliver learning solutions with a particular focus on leadership training.
- Owning all stages of the learning lifecycle including tool identification, curriculum design, content development, delivery support, measurement and maintenance.
- Create a process and framework for identifying learning needs across Shakepay.
- Maintain content integrity of learning programs through ongoing analysis and refinement, delivery observation, post-delivery reviews and changing requirements.
- Work with the People & Culture team on other initiatives related to L&D as we scale.
- Be the Nick Fury to the Avengers, the Lucius Fox to Batman, the M to James Bond. Be the silent hero who builds the tools for these heroes to succeed.

**Must haves**:

- You're not intimidated by a blank page. The idea of having to build learning programs from scratch and owning things end to end excites you.
- You have at least 4+ years of experience designing and developing learning solutions with a focus on building for remote teams.
- You've built and delivered learning programs geared towards leadership and have created content for cross-functional teams from scratch.
- You've led a team or coached others and understand the ins and outs of leadership. In other words, you get it, you've been a leader yourself and can relate.
- Are a strong communicator, and can speak to a wide range of audiences, from developers, to lawyers, to accountants, to security pros.
- You are passionate about the L&D space and stay up to date with the latest developments.
- You are tech savvy and have a good handle on the tools you need to succeed in this role.

**Nice to have**:

- Fluency in both English and French
- Knowledge of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency (a willingness to learn is great too)
- Relevant certifications
- You have modded an Aston Martin DB5 to be spy worthy.
