CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LOGISTICS LEAD

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the highest customer service for the business by organizing and scheduling the deployment of drivers and trucks to customers' job sites, within the GTA, in a time-efficient manner.

Effectively manage Dispatch and Customer Service Representatives.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Dispatch and Customer Service Representatives (completion of their tasks, scheduling, performance reviews, etc.).
Follow up with customers regarding satisfaction and generate future orders.
Achieve and maintain rapport with customers to attain the best possible service.
Assist drivers in ensuring high levels of cleanliness and professionalism for company vehicles/property.
Schedule regular maintenance and safety with mechanic and drivers on company trucks.
Deal with Sales Team regarding pricing on new and existing clients.
Up-sell customer orders when opportunity exists.
Adhere to budget re: costing and targets and assist in completion of yearly budget.
Work with Human Resources on hiring needs.
Work closely with Sales Managers and Operations Manager.
Approve payroll for Drivers, Dispatchers and Customer Service representatives.
Ensure dispatch has sufficient trucking to satisfy customer orders - Triaxles, Trailers, Slingers.
Build relationships with brokers eg: existing and new.
Liaise between dispatch and accounting-ensure dispatches and inventory tickets have proper information so they can be entered into Navision.
Co-ordinate with suppliers to arrange material, tickets, issues etc.
Any other duties assigned by Management.

Normal business hours are Monday to Friday - 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Available to work Saturdays - 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Additional /overtime hours as per business requirements - flexibility (including weekends) required with significant time investment during peak periods and when workload necessitates

Flexible to work anytime during holidays (if required) depending on customer demand.

Qualifications:
College/University preferred including basic mathematic skills.
1-3 years related experience. Aggregate experience would be ideal.

Cultivate and maintain an attitude focused on the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with team and customers.
Able to multi-task and meet tight job/task deadlines.
Demonstrate skills in time management, planning and organization.
Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, Internet).
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
