We are currently looking for an experienced **Pastry Cook **eager to join our team of elite hospitality professionals who redefine luxury service and guest experience on a daily basis. We offer competitive wages, inclusive benefits, and a FLEXIBLE working schedule.

The Pastry Cook will work in our newly built Pastry Kitchen with the latest equipment and tools.

The Pastry Cook is responsible for the creation, development, and execution of the breads and pastry program for Bacchus Restaurant & Lounge; Banquets; and In Room Dining.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare a wide variety of goods such as breads; a la carte desserts; Traditional Afternoon Tea; plated desserts for banquets; and amenities for hotel guests.
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of our guests.
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget.
- Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
- Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.

**Qualifications**:

- 1-4 years of experience in a pastry position in a leading food and beverage facility within a hotel or independent restaurant or bakery operation.
- Prior experience in a luxury hotel/resort is an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a Team environment and work in demanding and time sensitive situations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour
