Job Summary

A Brief Overview

Reporting to the Director, Partnerships & Special Projects, the Manager of Experiential Learning Partners & Programs in the Career Advancement Centre (CAC) at Smith School of Business (Smith) will be responsible for building and maintaining corporate partnerships for Experiential Learning (EL), as well as managing EL programs led by the EL Team. With Experiential Learning being a strategic pillar for Smith, the Manager, EL Partners & Programs will have a large impact on the success of the School by helping students connect with industry partners though internships, capstone projects, case competitions, applied research and other experiential learning activities. These EL opportunities have a direct impact on career outcomes, as well as student learning and success.
This position provides support and/or referral services to students presenting with intra-personal issues, and/or cognitive challenges related to learning disabilities, attention deficits, traumatic brain injury, or illness that have a direct bearing on their academic functioning. This position designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates programs, workshops, training, and services for students and other stakeholders. This position also advises students on a variety of self-awareness and coping skill exercises and techniques.

**Job Description**:
What you will do
Provides support and/or referral services to students presenting with intra-personal issues, and/or cognitive challenges related to learning disabilities, attention deficits, traumatic brain injury, or illness that have a direct bearing on their academic functioning.

Designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates programs, workshops, training, and services for students and other stakeholders.

Advises students on a variety of self-awareness and coping skill exercises and techniques.

Builds partnerships and collaborates with departments across the university and with community partners to promote and implement programs and initiatives that support student success. Required Education
Master's Degree or equivalent. In addition, requires a professional designation, certification, or other qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
Experience working at a post-secondary education institution considered an asset. and

Familiarity with experiential learning theory considered an asset. and

Experience in client and/or customer experience functions considered an asset. and

Experience with learning management system functionalities and standards is considered an asset. Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Knowledge and Requirements
Knowledge of concepts and principles in a specialist field that is typically acquired through a combination of advanced professional or academic qualifications and/or substantial work experience.
Provide effective consultation and advice on non-straightforward and/or complex issues.

Contribute to the creation and evaluation of possible solutions.

Take action to remove obstacles and address problems before the impact performance and results.

Promote a work environment that is free from sexual violence, harassment and discrimination, and the ability to show empathy for those who have experienced trauma.
