- Armtec has the following career opportunity in their facility in **Saskatoon, SK**: HDPE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN**

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the HDPE Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and extensive maintenance on all machinery and equipment, including forklifts. Maintenance Technician’s look after day-to-day preventative and corrective maintenance needs of the HDPE facilities, ensuring that the equipment is in safe operating condition.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Troubleshoots mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems related to production equipment such as extruder, corrugators, conveyors, blenders, grinders, blowers and conveying systems.
- Performs repairs and adjustments on equipment as required.
- Reads electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic plans and diagrams.
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspection of equipment.
- Maintains building and work area in a clean, uncluttered and safe condition.
- Puts in place patches to reduce downtime related to failures.
- Performs welding work on production equipment.
- Maintains a clean, uncluttered and safe work area as designated.
- Reports any equipment issues to the respective Manager.
- Complies with and follows Company Health and Safety policies, procedures, practices and legislative standards.
- Measure equipment performance to identify areas for improvement

**Education and Knowledge**:

- Licensed Industrial Millwright, Industrial Mechanic or automated systems electro mechanic diploma
- 5+ years of experience in a product manufacturing or industrial setting
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations in the HDPE field, preferred.
- Demonstrated experience toward troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and machine components.
- Hands on experience repairing and completing preventative maintenance on different types of equipment.
- Combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Works in a fast paced environment independently and with cross function team members, with limited supervision.
- Efficient, reliable with attention to detail. All work is completed with care to ensure quality.
