**Salary**:
Classification 8, $ 30,937.67 - $ 31,894.50 annually, as per the BCGEU Support Collective Agreement. Vacation is pro-rated and front-loaded (approximately 86.75 hours/year). Support Collective Agreement includes time off for family illness, personal illness, and other special leaves. Closure during the Christmas Break (Dec 25 - Jan 1) of each year is paid time off. We offer a competitive extended health and dental benefits package, after the completion of 910 working hours.

**Description**:
NLC's Trades & Apprenticeships Department is currently looking to hire an individual who is interested in supporting a team of instructors who are educating our future trades people for various industries. The successful applicant requires effective teamwork skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to perform a variety of clerical support tasks.

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to:

- Typing, filing, photocopying, word processing and data entry.
- Record keeping, minute taking, and report compilation.
- Ordering, receiving, and stocking equipment and supplies for the department.
- Updating and maintaining program procedure manuals and handbooks, and
- Responding to student inquiries/requests for information.

**Qualifications**:
In order to be considered for this position, you will have completed Grade 12 and a post-secondary Office Administration program or have an equivalent combination of education and office experience. Experience and proficiency with a current version of MS Office is required. Must be able to work in a team environment, multi-task, and work independently.

Experience with and knowledge of Campus policies, procedures and conditions would be an asset. Successful completion of clerical testing will be required.
