Flexible Learning Faculty, Mechanical Building Systems

BCIT Flexible Learning courses are offered in the evenings in three, twelve-week terms per academic year**:September to December, January to March, and April to July.**
**Duties & Responsibilities**
**DUTIES**AND
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Instruct, motivate, and assist adult learners.
- Identify, prepare and organize course materials and learning resources for online course delivery.
- Facilitate and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide academic assistance.
- Develop, modify, and/or improve, course outlines, curricula, evaluation procedures, and instruments.
- Record and submit student performance records including attendance and grades.
**Qualifications**
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Diploma of Technology or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Three years of relevant work experience in mechanical systems design for buildings.
- Must be able to work 100% remotely with a good internet connection.
- Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), as well as interpersonal and people-management skills.
- Previous teaching experience is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
- Ability to motivate adult learners to achieve academic success.

**Salary Range**
- $81.30 - $121.96 per contact hour, inclusive of vacation and holiday pay.
**Additional Salary Information**
- Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
