**About Us**:
Seven South Street Treatment Centre is a supportive, abstinence-based residential program for men recovering from alcohol and drug addictions. We provide a safe, structured, and compassionate environment that supports individuals in their journey toward recovery.

**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to join our team in a dual role that combines responsibilities of an Addiction Support Worker and Cook. This position is vital in supporting the daily operations of the Centre, ensuring clients’ safety, well-being, and nutritional needs are met.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Client Support & Safety**:

- Support, interact with, and monitor clients to ensure their well-being and adherence to program guidelines
- Maintain the security of both clients and the building on all shifts
- Foster a positive, respectful, and recovery-focused environment
- Respond to emergencies and assist with conflict resolution as required

**Food Services**:

- Prepare, cook, and serve meals that meet established standards for quality and presentation
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team and staff to ensure smooth mealtime operations
- Supervise client involvement in kitchen duties when appropriate

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a cook in a food service environment
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards
- Food Handler’s Certification is required
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification is required
- Enhanced reliability security clearance
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a supportive yet fast-paced environment
- Must be available for weekend shifts and flexible for coverage on weekdays, evenings, vacation coverage, and holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.80 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
