We’re looking for a skilled, reliable and culture-aligned **Carpenter** to join our construction team. The right person knows their way around a job site, can read drawings, problem solve custom problems and work well with other parts of our team and trades. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks—from framing and finishing to installations and repairs. If you take pride in quality craftsmanship and know how to hustle without cutting corners, we'd love to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials and procedures.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials with precision.
- Build, install, and repair structures such as framing, decks, walls, doors, windows, cabinetry, and more.
- Work with power tools and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure work meets building codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Communicate proactively about progress, issues, or material needs.

**Requirements**:

- 3+ years of carpentry experience (residential, commercial, or both).
- Proficient with all common carpentry tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Solid understanding of building codes, safety, and best practices.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to craftsmanship.
- Reliable transportation and basic hand tools.

**Nice to Have**
- Optional: Valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and/or Red Seal certification.
- Experience with custom builds, renovations, or heritage work
- Familiarity with other trades (drywall, tiling, finishing, etc.)
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to train apprentices or junior carpenters

Pay: $34.00-$43.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kingston, ON K7L 2X3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Carpentry: 5 years (preferred)
