**About the Role**

At Encepta, we're seeking an experienced Field Specialist to perform infrastructure and building data collection in Edmonton, AB. In this outdoor position, you'll gather and analyze essential field data for local telecommunications and utility projects. You'll have the opportunity to work independently, conducting site inspections, collecting GPS data, and ensuring the accuracy of infrastructure information. As a Field Specialist, you'll contribute to vital telecommunications projects while developing expertise across multiple areas of field operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Field Data Collection & Analysis**: Conduct comprehensive site surveys and inspections using mobile devices and specialized tools. Collect, validate and process GPS data for telecommunications infrastructure and utilities. Perform detailed analysis of field data to ensure accuracy and completeness of information gathered.
- **Quality Assurance & Documentation**: Execute thorough quality control checks on collected data, maintaining high standards of accuracy. Create and maintain detailed documentation of field observations, measurements, and asset information. Develop and update project deliverables including spreadsheets, maps, and reports for client submission.
- **Technical Operations & Coordination**: Utilize GIS platforms and specialized software for data processing and mapping. Coordinate with team members to optimize work schedules and field operations. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions for data collection challenges.
- **Stakeholder Engagement & Safety**: Maintain professional communication with external stakeholders, contractors, and the public. Uphold strict adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. Participate in cross-functional collaboration to improve field processes and methodologies.

**What We're Looking For**
- **Education**: Post-secondary education in Telecommunications, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Technical certifications in telecommunications or utility infrastructure are valued.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in GIS software platforms and mobile data collection tools. Experience with GPS technology and field survey equipment. Working knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and utility systems.
- **Field Experience**: Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications field work or related industry. Demonstrated ability to work independently in various weather conditions and environments.
- **Data Management**: Strong capability in data collection, validation, and analysis using various digital tools and software platforms. Experience with quality assurance processes and documentation.
- **Project Skills**: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in coordinating field operations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- **Safety & Compliance**: Understanding of safety protocols and industry regulations. Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
