We specialize in caring for individuals with **developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, and mental health needs.** Our goal is to foster a nurturing environment where young people can develop essential life skills, build self-esteem, and work toward independence.

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide **daily supervision and support** to children and youth in a residential setting.
- Implement **individualized behavior support plans** and maintain structured routines.
- Assist with **life skills development,** including hygiene, meal preparation, and conflict resolution.
- Facilitate **therapeutic and recreational activities** to promote social engagement and well-being.
- Support residents with **mental health challenges, behavioral issues, and emotional regulation.**:

- Assist in crisis situations using **crisis intervention techniques (SMG or CPI).**:

- Administer **medication (as required)** following agency policies and procedures.
- Ensure the **safety and security** of all residents by following policies and protocols.
- Complete **daily logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.**:

- Work collaboratively with **social workers, therapists, families, and other community partners** to provide holistic care.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of residents while maintaining professional boundaries.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Must have at least 1 year of experience working with children and youth in residential/group home, shelter, or mental health settings.**:

- Diploma or degree in one of the following fields:

- **Social Service Worker (SSW)**:

- **Community Service Worker (CSW)**:

- **Developmental Service Worker (DSW)**:

- **Community and Justice Service Worker (CJSW)**:

- **Shelter Support Worker**:

- **Social Worker (BSW or MSW preferred but not required)**:

- **Valid CPR and First Aid certification.**:

- **SMG Crisis Intervention certification** (or willingness to obtain).
- **Vulnerable Sector Police Check - Broad Record Check (mandatory).**:

- Strong ability to **document incidents, daily logs, and progress reports accurately.**:

- Knowledge of **trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, and harm reduction strategies.**:

- Strong **communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.**:

- Ability to work **flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnights.**:

- **Valid driver’s license (preferred but not mandatory).**
