**What is NAITSA?**
NAITSA provides services, representation, and leadership to students enrolled in credit and apprenticeship programs in one of Canada’s largest polytechnic institutions, the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Our NAITSA Service Hub is a central “hub” on campus providing specialized services that support student life outside the classroom. Service Hub staff assist students with emergency food hampers, Edmonton Food Bank referrals, the Universal Transit Pass (U-Pass) program, student health and dental benefit plans, emergency short-term loans (ESTL), the Peer Support program and online tutoring services
**What You Will Be Doing**:
The specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- **Administrative and office duties**: Provide on-the-job support to part-time Service Hub staff, participate in Service Hub meetings, oversee the quality of service in the office and online via LiveChat, manage the register’s float for ticket sales, update information related to the student health and dental plan, and other office duties as required.
- **Liaise with NAIT & Benefits Provider**: Work with applicable NAIT departments regarding student eligibility, enrolment, fees and refunds, support part-time staff with plan questions, develop awareness of the Student Benefit Plans within the NAIT community, and liaise with benefits provider regarding all aspects of the student Health & Dental plan.
- **Promotion of MyWellness Mental Health Support**: Promote mental health initiatives and increase student awareness about MyWellness, collaborate with NAIT Health Services and Counselling to promote mental health support initiatives, maintain contact with NAIT departments and within the NAIT community to increase awareness of the MyWellness program.

- **Fun** - You should possess the ability to network with all types of people and build productive, healthy relationships with colleagues.
- **Public Speaking Skills**:
- You can put presentations together and deliver them to groups of students with clarity and objectivity.
**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Post-secondary diploma or degree. Equivalent work experience may also be considered, but experience participating in a post-secondary environment is a definite asset to working within it.
- **Work Experience**: Minimum one (1) year customer service/administrative experience. Experience working in a post-secondary environment, insurance, banking, administration, customer service and/or an office environment is preferred.
- Security Clearance: Employment in this position is conditional upon references and completion of a Canadian Criminal Record check.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Self-motivated and thrives working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
