The Labourer’s function at HBD Forming Ltd. is to perform all job-related assignments as assigned by the Foreman. This position is important to our company and the fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities contribute to the overall success of the company.

**Purpose**

The purpose of this standard procedure is to define the job description of the Labourer through the outline of his duties and responsibilities.

**Authority**

The Labourer derives authority from the Foreman, carpenters, and carpenter’s helpers and is granted full authority to carry out the duties set forth in this job description.

**Responsibility**

The Labourer is directly responsible to the Foreman, carpenters, and carpenter’s helpers for the proper discharge of his duties.

**Duties**
- Maintain a clean and organized site at all times
- Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work area
- Must be able to lift/carry at least 60lbs
- Assist carpenters, carpenter helpers and other crew members when required
- Perform daily tasks in a safe and workman like manner in accordance with company policies
- Must provide basic hand tools and tool belt
- Must provide own PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Prepare to preform job related assignments promptly at designated start time

The above outline of duties is not arranged in order of priority. These duties are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to describe minimum activities. Those duties will from time to time be altered by the Foreman to suit the needs of the company.

**Conclusion**

This standard procedure for the job description of Labourer will become part of the company policy upon the approval of the Foreman and remain in effect until superseded or cancelled by the same authority.

Starting wage is $25/$28hr depending on experience. Jobsites are throughout the Lower Mainland.
