Reporting to the VP of Finance - Distributed Products, this position is responsible for the delivery of monthly consolidated financial reporting for each of the following Brandt Tractor divisions:

- Construction & Forestry / Material Handling
- Agriculture (operations in Canada, Australia and New Zealand)
- Truck & Trailer

This role is also responsible for driving process improvement and alignment across the above divisions, working closely with the finance and operation leaders of each segment. It is estimated that this role will be dedicated to monthly and annual financial reporting 30% of the time, with the other 70% dedicated to supporting process improvement initiatives and projects.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**_ Financial Reporting_**
- Preparation of the monthly consolidated financial statements and reporting package, including multi-currency consolidation and managing the timing and requirements of divisional components.
- Streamline the consolidation process to reduce resource requirements and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Preparation of the annual audited consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP, and managing the differences in accounting standards across countries.
- Supporting the VP Finance as the primary point of contact for external auditors in coordinating the interim and year end audit work with each of the divisional finance teams, ensuring compliance with required timelines.
- Compiling consolidated information required for income tax reporting, managing the timing of divisional requirements.

**_ Process Improvement and Projects_**
- With input from the VP Finance, evaluate, formulate, and implement accounting policies and processes for consistency across each division.
- Facilitate the sharing of best practices across all Brandt operations and strive to eliminate inconsistencies and inefficiencies.
- With input from the VP Finance, formulate accounting procedures and processes to enhance internal control with consistency across the company.
- Support divisional finance teams with IT initiatives, such as automation, implementations, and conversions.
- Support divisional finance teams with accounting for acquisitions, including purchase price allocation accounting, chart of accounts mapping for new companies, initial journal entries, etc.
- Assist the VP Finance with any additional ad hoc projects, managing timelines, collecting input from all stakeholders, and developing solutions.
- Interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships within a team environment, will be key to success in this role.

**Required Skills**:

- Requires CPA, CPA CA, or CPA CMA with 5-7 years of progressive responsibility and relevant experience.
- Consolidation and full cycle accounting experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and deadlines, while developing collaborative relationships.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, ability to communicate and articulate recommendations.
- Recognizes the need for continuous improvement and is an innovative thinker, while remaining focused on maximizing resources and productivity.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting standards, with the ability to research, analyze and present information relating to the technical aspects of accounting and alternative treatments.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP computer systems an asset.
- Desire to learn and develop as a professional.
