Our hours count-gain valuable teaching experience **Oxford Learning Cambridge** is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for roles in our learning centre for the upcoming school year (2025-2026). If you love working with students, enjoy teaching language skills, and want to help others build their academic confidence, this position is perfect for you.
**Position Overview**: As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French and/or with High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Our Teacher-Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning, as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on what you do best - teaching
**Position Requirements**
- Availability during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
- Commitment through to the end of the 2025-26 school year (June 30th), with the possibility of continuing through the summer
- In-person instruction
- No relocation package provided
- Ability to commute to the designated location
- Mandatory vulnerable sector screening
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Third-year university students with tutoring experience will be considered
- Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
**Experience**:
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- The ability to teach French is also highly desired
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
**Responsibilities**:
As an Interactive Coach, you will:
- Teach up to 3 students at a time in Elementary grades or up to 2 students at a time in grades 10-12
- Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)
