This reflects our deep commitment to embed sustainability not only across our organization, but as part of how we drive positive impacts for our communities and the customers we serve. **Job Description**: As a member of the Regulatory Team, the Sustainability Engagement Expert will support Assent’s engagement with the market by collaborating with industry associations, standards and frameworks organizations. This role will also support sales enablement by speaking to the broader market expectations of Supply Chain Sustainability engagements while relating this to market and regulatory reporting requirements. Internally to Assent, this person will also work cross-functionally with stakeholders in the Product and Client Services teams to support the delivery of Assent’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) solutions. - Work with clients and prospects: - Consult on supply chain engagement processes. - Align with reporting analysts to ensure the solution supports the client’s sustainability reporting needs. - In collaboration with internal stakeholders, develop supplier solutions: - Ensure alignment to relevant standards and maximize supply chain transparency efforts. Support alignment of the Assent solution to industry expectations for data collection and analysis. - Manage the development and ongoing updates of supply chain engagement practices. - Conduct gap assessments of Assent’s solutions to existing standards, frameworks and key regulations to ensure the market viability of Assent’s offering. - Engage with standards and frameworks organizations: - Represent Assent within industry associations and build the Assent brand with the broader market. - Monitor the emerging trends and regulations and lead others in the Assent community: - Develop thought leadership pieces and leverage opportunities to display knowledge both within and outside of the company. - Speak to clients and prospects about impacts to their programs. - Participate in knowledge transfer that will support the Regulatory Team’s prospect engagements. - Engage market stakeholders (clients, prospects and associations) to gather feedback on supply chain-related ESG topics, and synthesize insights into actionable steps that improve Assent’s alignment> **Qualifications**: - University, College and/or Post Graduate Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability or a related field; - 5+ years experience working in Sustainability and/or Sustainability/CSR supply chain engagement; - Advanced understanding of existing sustainability frameworks and standards; - Superb interpersonal skills - you are able to establish meaningful cross-functional relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders - internally and externally; - Strong EQ and communication skills, written and orally, with the ability to articulate sustainability data and analytics, focusing on the right details for their audience; - Experience and comfort presenting to stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to drive and manage conversations that may support sales opportunities and activities; - Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to leverage data to suggest, implement, and support decisions that drive Assent towards continuous improvement and value creation; - Demonstrated proactivity and creative problem-solving skills by anticipating, understanding, and responding to tasks and business needs effectively; - Ability to be flexible with hours to support teams in multiple geographies. - Ability and willingness to travel internationally to represent Assent at industry ev
