**Job Goal**:
At Empathway Services, we are dedicated to empowering youth to thrive in supportive housing environments. Or Specialized Homes and Support Services (SHSS) program focuses on providing stability, care, and opportunities for youth transitioning to independence or CLBC services. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Residential Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our residential program and make a lasting impact in the lives of the youth we serve.

The Residential Manager will be responsible for supervising and supporting the Residential Coordinator, staff and clients. This position is administrative in nature as you will be responsible for ensuring all reporting is aligned with SHSS and CARF standards. You will provide ongoing guidance in relation to supporting Empathway Services’ clients, agency policies/procedures and CARF accreditation standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. **Program Management**
- Oversee the delivery of high quality, client centered residential services aligned with SHSS goals and organizational standards.
- Assists to set up homes in a manner that is in the best interest of Empathway Services clients and conforms to accreditation standards of CARF
- Comes in as needed to support the team/resource
- Performs other duties as required

2. **Team Leadership**
- Supervise, mentor and support residential coordinator and staff, including scheduling, training and performance management.
- Provides guidance with the Residential Coordinator and staff on policies, procedures, techniques or other matters relating to limiting placement breakdown and meeting accreditation standards.
- Assists other Management in evaluating the performance of Residential Coordinators and staff employed with Empathway Services Ltd, both informally, and through employment reviews.
- Provides leadership and guidance for Residential Coordinators and staff in planning and providing client plans, case conferencing, and case management.

3. **Youth Support**
- Provide individualized care and guidance to youth, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
- Participates with Residential Coordinator and staff in supporting clients in meeting their goals and objectives.
- Assists with receiving referrals, contacting clients, interviewing and assisting clients within boundaries of program services and arranging referrals to additional resources where appropriate.

4. **Case Management**
- Communicate with government officials, the court system, and professional and/or other agency contractors/employees regarding each client. Participates in the coordination of client placement in appropriate facilities, and client case planning.
- Is responsible to lead and work with the Residential Coordinator/staff or designate in the development and implementation of Assessment Reports, Monthly Summaries, Service Plans, and Discharge Reports for each clientele, including, the development, implementation, and evaluation of clientele goals and objectives. Ensures that the required accreditation standards are maintained.
- Maintains open communication lines with client families, social workers and care team

5. **Compliance and Safety**
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures, including maintaining a safe living environment
- Identifies both the physical and programming needs of the home and addresses such needs to the Executive Director or designate. Plans with Residential Coordinators and staff to implement changes.

6. **Community Engagement**
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, families and local community partners
- Acts as a liaison with the community and promotes/encourages community involvement with all clients associated with Empathway Services Ltd. Does this by establishing a rapport with the community programs and agencies. Provides liaison with government officials, professionals, and organization staff.

**Education and Experience**:

- A diploma/degree in related human/social service field and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years of relevant related experience, including 1-year supervisory experience

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of adolescent development
- Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and youth-centered approaches
- Proficiency in record keeping and report writing
- Strong administrative and communication skills
- Exhibits a proactive approach

**Certifications**
- Criminal Record Check clearance
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Mandt Training (or willingness to obtain)
- Tuberculosis Test (or willingness to obtain)
- Physician letter to verify ability to work in this field (in house form will be provided to bring to physician)
