The Retail Store Manager at Urban Tactical Brantford Ltd. (UTB) reports to the Managing Director and holds a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the retail location. This includes managing overall operations, sales, marketing, merchandising, product displays, employee recruitment, supervision, performance management, coaching, and scheduling. The goal is to deliver a distinctive shopping experience to a diverse customer base, including law enforcement, correctional, fire, paramedic agencies, government departments, the construction industry, and retail customers. Through effective leadership and direction of a team of experienced sales associates, the Retail Store Manager ensures exceptional customer service, surpassing sales goals, and maximizing profitability. Key responsibilities involve crucial contributions to Urban Tactical Brantford's ongoing success. Teamwork, effective communication, analytical skills, judgment, problem-solving, and continuous professional and personal development are essential competencies. Urban Tactical Brantford also extends operational support to "The Range," an adjacent facility providing a controlled environment for target shooting for law enforcement and recreational users. **Skills Required**: - Proven extensive experience in successfully managing a retail sales operation. - Exceptional sales management skills and a customer service orientation to optimize sales with existing customers and identify new opportunities. - Advanced communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated through regular contact with customers, suppliers, and internal/external parties to achieve and exceed sales targets. - Demonstrated supervisory skills in leading, managing, motivating, and coaching a team for sales and customer service excellence. - Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in managing all operational, merchandising, and staffing activities. - Strong analytical skills for ongoing monitoring and analysis of sales results, operating expenses, and comparison to forecasts. - Proficiency in analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making to identify and implement mutually beneficial solutions. - Strong planning and time management skills to complete all assigned activities. - Ability to multitask, remaining attentive to customers while staying flexible to the needs of the business. - Demonstrated commitment to working as an equal contributor to a team and taking initiative independently of direct supervision. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Discounted or free food - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Store discount - Tuition reimbursement Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: - Commission pay **Education**: - Secondary School (preferred) **Experience**: - Retail management: 3 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (required) - PAL/RPAL (preferred) Work Location: In person
