Location: Bracebridge, ON

We currently have a **Parts Manager **position available in our Bracebridge location. This

position is responsible for exceptional Customer Service, effective inventory control and

supervision of Parts Department staff.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers
- Schedule efficient delivery routes to meet company & customer needs
- Supervise parts department staff
- Provide access to, schedule, and encourage training and safe work practices for
- all parts staff.- Schedule routine maintenance & repairs on parts equipment/vehicles as
- required.- Oversee all parts activities and enforce rules and regulations set out by company
- policy and legislation.- Maintain inventory control, including striving to meet the targets that may be
- established by the Company from time to time.- Represent the professional image of the company at all times, in all dealings with
- customers and staff- Complete the highest level of training required by Daimler Trucks North America
- for parts managers- Maintain effective controls over all parts/core/warranty returns to maximize cash
- flow and minimize restocking charges- Strive to maintain positive relationships with all other department
- managers/personnel- Attend OEM meetings/training as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of general parts and warehouse procedures
- **Minimum of 3-5 years Heavy Truck Parts experience**:

- Knowledge of Freightliner Western Star, Detroit & Cummins parts & systems are
- a definite asset- Computer literacy, familiarity with MS Word, E-mail and Excel preferred
- Ability to competently and safely operate forklifts, dollies, shop tools, and other
- shop equipment- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong health & safety ethic and work practices
- Ability to comprehend, think effectively and react appropriately under pressure
- Willingness to assist other staff as appropriate and as workloads dictate
- Ability to manage parts staff; work well with other departments, coworkers
- Strong leadership ability and inventory management skills

**Work Conditions:
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, frequent walking, bending/twisting & lifting
- Cognizance of effective ergonomic concepts
- Must have CSA approved safety boots /shoes
- Able to work overtime as required
- Hazards associated with the trade
