**Youth Outreach Worker, East Dartmouth**

Are you passionate about supporting and mentoring youth? Do you want to work in a role where you can create real change in the community? BGC Greater Halifax is looking for a **Youth Outreach Worker** to engage and support young people (ages 16-24) in East Dartmouth, NS.

As a Youth Outreach Worker, you’ll play a key role in empowering youth facing challenges such as food insecurity, homelessness, education struggles, mental health concerns, and more.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Provide mentorship and one-on-one support to vulnerable youth
- Help youth navigate and access services like housing, health, and employment programs
- Develop and facilitate programs and workshops tailored to youth needs
- Support youth in care of the province
- Work in-person and virtually to engage youth through text, phone, and online platforms
- Maintain confidentiality and provide trauma-informed, harm-reduction-based support

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience working with youth in a community setting.
- Post-secondary education in Social Sciences (Child and Youth Studies, Human Services, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of the East Dartmouth community and available resources
- Understanding of youth development, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care
- Comfortable handling sensitive disclosures and providing emotional support
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a flexible work environment
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
