Ground Laborer/arborist Apprentice

Miller Tree is located in Campbellville, 10 mins from Hwy 6 along the Hamilton boundary. We are in close proximity to Hamilton, Guelph, Burlington and Milton.

We are actively recruiting team members to work on various Municipal Contracts. We specialize in all forms or tree removals and are willing to train. We have many opportunities for career advancement.

We are looking to hire skilled enthusiastic Ground Laborers/Arborist Apprentices to work with our team in a variety of settings. Duties will vary by the type of work being done at each given site.

Your responsibilities will include removing tree branches, brush, and logs using multiple tools including but not limited to chippers chainsaws, trimmers.

We often require stumping crews to grind out stumps and debris. Crew members will soil and reseed the removal area with the aid of various equipment.

Main priorities are to assist the Arborists with removals, cleanup and equipment maintenance while adhering to safety procedures.

**_Job Duties May Include: _**
- Use hand and power tools such as chippers, chainsaws, trimmers, etc. to cut and trim brush and logs
- Climb trees to remove limbs/brush
- Responsible for the safe operation of bucket trucks to trim, remove, and service trees
- Responsible for the safe operation of equipment such as skid steers, Kubota loaders, stumpers and other equipment to perform daily tasks

**_Employment Requirements_**
- An interest in pursuing a career in Arboriculture
- Valid G2 or higher driver’s license (DZ an asset)
- A reliable means of transportation to get to our yard or jobsite
- A strong work ethic and a desire to work and learn everyday

- Must be okay working outside year round.

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
