Life Skills/Respite Worker

Overview:
I am looking for a reliable part-time lifeskills worker/respite worker to work with me 4 hours a week. Previous experience with working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder is highly encouraged, as you will be supporting a young adult with autism. Must be committed to showing up on time and helping with daily tasks such as, meal prep, cleaning, and vacuuming.

**Duties**:

- provide support with cleaning, meal prep, and vacuuming
- demonstrate professionalism
- show up on time
- be committed to providing 4 hours of lifeskills support per week
- complete a criminal record check/provide driving records before starting
- communicate with employer
- be responsive to feedback and constructive criticism

**Skills**:

- Resident of North Vancouver or willingness to commute to client's home in North Vancouver
- Fluent in English
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Excellent communication skills
- Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting neurodivergent individuals
- preference for applicants who have their own vehicle

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $16.75-$25.53 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) (preferred)
- CPR Certification (preferred)
