Baker

**MUST HAVE BAKING & PREP COOK EXPERIENCE**

**Hours**Approx. 40 hours per week. Shifts can vary but will include morning, mid, afternoon, and/or evening shifts on weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Must have completed a recognized culinary program at a secondary college or have equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years experience of scratch baking in a professional bakery
- Must have kitchen prep experience and ability to work any station within the kitchen
- Energetic with a positive work ethic
- Ability to multi-task
- Reliable and able to work independently with confidence
- Able to work as a team under the Executive Chef & Sous Chef
- Must be able to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Must be accountable for the quality and standard of products produced
- Able to pay attention to detail
- First Aid, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety familiarity
- Food handling certification
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner service items required
- Able to explain the buffet specials to the guests
- Keep the buffet clean and stocked up and assist with the hot buffet food set up
- Prepare the scheduled coffee breaks
- Set up the breakfast items for the next day
- Set up the lunch items for the day
- Prepare vegetables and meats for service
- Be proactive to prevent food waste
- Follow sanitation and hygiene standards
- Keep work area and fridges clean
- Cooperate and communicate within the department
- Ensure efficiency during service
- Report any shortages to the supervisor

- CPR Certification (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
