**Position Summary**:
The Finance Manager, TV Scripted will oversee the day-to-day management of the production finance and have overall accountability for reporting including revenue recognition, accruals, production accounting, and analysis. Reporting into the Director, TV Content Finance they will be responsible for providing leadership to one direct report. They will work cross-functionally with other studio divisions including Financial Planning and Analysis, Reporting, Treasury and Business Operations.

**Responsibilities**:
Major responsibilities include:

- Review revenue recognition, accounting, analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, income statement reconciliation and related foreign exchange transactions for TV Scripted productions
- Evaluation and interpretation of production structures to ensure best practices are followed
- Assist in the coordination of numerous Production company’s month-end and year-end processes
- Analyze revenue recognition criteria and reconcile balances for TV Scripted productions
- Assist in the preparation of working paper schedules on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Support in preparing monthly analysis packs submitted to Group Finance
- Contribute to maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and by title information
- Implement process improvements within areas of responsibility
- Actively involved in ensuring compliance with internal controls
- Accomplish tasks on time and take on special projects as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field and professional designation (CPA)
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with direct oversight and leadership of senior accountant level staff
- Strong technical accounting skills; knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements
- Experience with US GAAP considered an asset
- Strong excel skills a must
- Effective communication skills and able to address various audiences
- Experience working within the Media Industry preferred
- Pro-active and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Sound analytical thinking, planning and prioritization skills
