**Network Administrator**
**What you'll be doing**:
- Participate in Network Services Change, Incident and Problem Management activities
- Execute and follow through service changes and acceptance testing
- Manage vendors’ and service providers’ SLAs and performance
- Perform proactive maintenance for internal and external customers networks
- Take ownership of complex service issues questions to and lead their resolution
- Support and train Service Assurance, Data Center and Operations Center teams
- Identify skill gaps to management and pursue skill improvement
- Ensure network services security through compliance to standards, involvement in audits, strictly following established processes and procedures
- Maintain and improve service level and customer commitments
- Integrate new network platforms and services with existing infrastructures
- Work in collaboration with other Rogers teams and vendors to implement changes meeting targets and mitigating risk of customer experience impact due to changes
- Identify opportunities to save on support costs to management and implement as directed
- Execute network platforms improvement and development plans
- Share knowledge with peers in other Rogers teams
**What you bring**:
- 3+ years of experience with data center network engineering
- 5+ years of experience with data center network administration
- IP networking and internetworking implementation and operation experience
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and process improvement guidelines
- Prior engineering and operations experience in service provider environment
- Exposure to technology vendor relationship management
- Experience with data center infrastructure and facilities management
- Advanced knowledge and experience with leading network technology products
**Education / Certification**:
- Post-graduate degree with courses in computer engineering, computer science or equivalent experience is preferred
- Professional certification in the area of data center network operations is preferred
**Essential Skills**:
- In-depth understanding of data center network infrastructure
- Advanced knowledge of technology within areas of responsibility
- Positive attitude with a desire to constantly improve
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function in a high pressure operational role with ongoing on-call support responsibilities
- Experience with broad range of network equipment from Cisco and Fortinet is mandatory
- Prior exposure to various network technologies (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, MPLS, routing, switching, firewalls) is mandatory
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems is preferred
- Familiarity with load-balancing concepts and platforms is preferred
- Awareness of cloud and network virtualization concepts and operations e.g. VmWare is preferred
