**The Position**:
**We are currently searching for a highly detailed-oriented individual, eager to contribute and provide support to a strong finance Team. Starting date ASAP.**

This position is suitable for someone with an Accounting background.

**Key Responsibilities/Duties**:
Full cycle accounting responsibilities.

Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.

Posting adjusting journal entries.

Manage Accounts Payable process including approvals coordination and initiating payments.

Preparation of invoice entries and vendor set-up.

Recording and reconciling bank and credit card transactions.

Calculate and run bi-weekly payroll.

Monthly intercompany account reconciliation.

Data entry. Recording day to day transactions and reconciling accounts.

Prepare statistical and accounting reports.

Supporting monthly, quarterly and yearly closing.

Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

**Key Requirements/Skills**:
Minimum of 1 year experience working in public practice or accounting/bookkeeping role.

Degree in business, accounting, or finance.

Working towards CPA designation will be an asset.

Experience with full cycle accounting to general ledger stage using various computer software.

Experience with financial closing procedures is preferred.

Strong understanding of accounting principles.

Knowledge of payroll, T4 preparation, PST, GST and WCB return preparation and reconciliation.

Knowledge and understanding of various Accounting and Finance tools.

Experience with QuickBooks online would be an asset.

Exceptional attention to detail and proven organizational skills.

Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and to be a part of a progressive team.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
