**Job Objective**:
Tornado prides itself on achieving consistent quality control standards. The quality control inspector has a significant role in maintaining a controlled process and holds Tornado standards. This is a direct quality-inspection position that will evaluate production flow process to achieve quality assurance. Their experience in quality control will allow them to assess work in a variety of processes, and to provide feedback to Tornado to improve the quality of our products.

**Key Responsibility Areas**:
**Visual Inspections**
- Identifies flaws in Vendor finishes and works with supervisor to devise and implement Quality Control processes.
- Carries out Internal Inspections of manufactured, and outsourced parts in workstations.
- Monitors vendor/supplier’s quality issues, recommends when a nonconformance report should be completed, and when necessary, devises and implements corrective actions.
- Reviews parts identified in the production process as NCR or DMR and complete follow-up.
- Completes root cause analysis, properly documents the outcome, and determines corrective actions.
- Monitors quality issues, recommends when a nonconformance report should be completed, and when necessary, works with supervisor to devise and implement Quality Control Process.
- Ensures digital inspection results are accurately recorded in real time.
- Create Check lists to help identify discrepancy’s in production workstations.
- Ensures Documentation is in order for deficiencies and non-conformance parts in production workstations.

**Process/Quality Improvement**
- Communicate necessary improvements in finishing processes and procedures.
- Where necessary, will communicate Tornado standards and Processes for production workstations

**Administrative Functions**
- Tracks deficiencies and links them to specific Processes.
- Helps to document part deficiencies, and their overall ability to meet or exceed Tornado standards with supervisor’s approval.
- Analyzes inspection results to note trends and frequency of deficiencies.

**Paint Touch-up**

Communicates with production for paint deficiencies upon approval from Quality Control supervisor.
- Reviews processes to ensure high-quality work.

**Projects / Other Assignments**
- Works with PDI department to help with Discrepancy’s on parts
- Works on related projects or initiatives as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:Grade 12, related coursework and/or certification.
- **Experience**: 5 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control.

**- Certification**: Level 1 Quality control preferred.

Valid and clean class 5 Drivers License required.

**- Skills**: MS word, excel, and outlook. Ability to read engineered drawings and specifications.

**Working Conditions**:

- Industrial manufacturing shop environment which may involve loud noise and dusty conditions. The employee is required to provide CSA-certified footware, all other PPE will be provided.
- The Inspector may be called upon to work in PDI.
