Calgary, Canada Cultivated Cabinetry Full time

**Location**: Calgary, AB

**Schedule**: 4-day work week (10-hour days, Monday to Thursday)

**Reports To**: Company Owners

**About Us**

At Cultivated Cabinetry, we create highly custom, thoughtfully designed cabinetry that brings functionality and beauty into every space. We're a family-run business known for integrity, craftsmanship, and a client first mindset. Our work is rooted in care, clear communication, and excellence. Quick and Dirty doesn’t belong here. With a growing number of satisfied customers and a strong reputation in Calgary, we’re looking to expand our team with a dedicated craftsperson who shares our values.

**The Role**

We are seeking an experienced **Cabinet Maker & Installer** to lead the hands-on execution of our projects. You will not be responsible for designing cabinets, but you will be the skilled professional responsible for bringing those designs to life—ensuring precise builds, smooth installs, and satisfied clients. You’ll work closely with our small but committed team, including coaching junior installers when needed, all while representing our company in a professional and respectful way on-site.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Fabricate custom cabinetry components from detailed plans with a focus on precision and quality.
- Perform all aspects of on-site installation, including final site measurements, layout, installation of cabinet boxes, millwork, inserts, scribing, and taking responsibility for successful project completion.
- Communicate directly and professionally with clients during installs, embodying our values of clear communication and care.
- Collaborate closely with the internal team to ensure smooth handoffs between design, shop fabrication, and installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, treating each client’s home with respect.
- Identify and resolve technical or installation issues proactively.
- Coach and support junior team members when needed, sharing expertise without taking on formal management duties.
- Uphold safety standards and take pride in quality workmanship.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years experience in cabinetry and millwork
- Proficient in the use of woodworking tools and installation equipment.
- Deep understanding of cabinet joinery, drawer and door hardware, leveling systems, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and plans.
- High attention to detail and ability to problem-solve on site.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—this is a client-facing role.
- Capable of lifting, moving, and installing cabinetry (50lbs+).
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.

**Nice to Have**
- Experience with high end or frameless cabinetry systems.
- Familiarity with ergonomic space planning principles.
- Experience in teaching or mentoring junior tradespeople.

**What We Offer**
- A 4-day work week to support work-life balance
- A respectful, close-knit, and family-oriented work environment
- Opportunities to work on beautiful, one-of-a-kind custom projects
- A company culture built on trust, integrity, and quality
- Competitive compensation based on experience
