We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Director to join our team. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fundraising and development activities for our organization. Your primary goal will be to secure funding and support to further our mission and programs.

**Director of Fund Development**
Grove Park Home is a Not-For-Profit organization that is comprised of 143 Long Term Care Beds, a small retirement home and an Adult Day Care Program. Serving the citizens of Barrie for over 50 years, Grove Park continues to enjoy a great reputation within our community. Designated as a Best Practices Spotlight Organization (BPSO), Grove Park is proud of the quality care that we provide and the staff who provide it.
We are looking for someone who can put the FUN in fundraising by being an interactive member of our team and the local community. A voice who is able to promote and share the amazing things we accomplish here with our surrounding community. The Director of Fund Development is responsible for planning and executing various fundraising efforts throughout the year; this role is for a fundraising generalist who is able to multitask across many different fundraising strategies. We rely on a multi
- pronged strategic approach to raising funds; including annual and monthly giving, grant writing, events and major gifts and events.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Increase Grove Park Home’s profile and conduct fundraising activities through community-based events and creative initiatives that deepen donor engagement, cultivate new donors, partnerships, and fundraising opportunities.
- Provide ongoing stewardship (in partnership with colleagues) of existing relationships with key community members, fundraisers, sponsors, donors and volunteers to increase revenue and participation in key fundraising initiatives
- Solicit, secure, manage, and steward corporate sponsors, donors and other stakeholders.
- Maintain, monitor and report event revenue and expenses
- Ensure timeline and appropriate donor recognition, acknowledgement, and stewardship programs are in place
- Lead internal and external stakeholders to support the development of proposals by setting project scope, budget and critical deliverables
- Manage donor and CRM software
- Maintain social media; through our various platforms including Facebook, you will provide information, tell stories and build awareness for our organization and fundraising initiatives using our unique voice and messaging that aligns with our mission.
- Update and assist with website management
- Write and publish newsletters/blogs
**Education/Experience/Skills**
- Strong communication skills and ability to nurture current donors and develop new donor opportunities
- Experience within the nonprofit sector
- Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation, member of AFP and Fundraising Diploma would be an asset
- Ability to critically analyze projects and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Creative thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be well organized and able to prioritize and manage in a fast-paced and goal
- oriented environment.
- Capital Campaign experience would be an asset
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
