The Edmonton Soccer Association Facilities is hiring immediately for a mature individual to fill a full time Maintenance Attendant position at the East Soccer Centre and the Bill Gilhespy Soccer Complex. (One position floating between both facilities during the summer months only. Location will be at the East Facility during the winter months.)

Description and responsibilities are as follows:
MAINTENANCE ATTENDANT

The _Maintenance Attendant_ _(MA)_ repairs and maintains their designated centre or centres. He/She reports directly to the _Maintenance Manager_, providing reports on all required maintenance and repairs (performed or required) to building(s), equipment and exterior property.

**Main Responsibilities at the East Facility**:
**A. Building Maintenance**:

- Performs daily building checks;
- Reports all required repairs & parts needed ;
- Confers with both the _Maintenance Manager_ and _Facility Supervisor_ as to maintenance schedules and substantial repairs;
- Maintains and repairs all equipment, electrical and mechanical systems and machinery;
- Ensures all washrooms & showers are operational;
- Carries out all necessary maintenance/repairs as requested or scheduled;
- Performs turf installation & removal, and supervision of turf staff when necessary;
- Assists with safety inspections and preventative maintenance programs;
- Identifies and oversees necessary repairs;
- Evaluates monthly, all maintenance issues;
- When necessary, assists at other facilities as directed by the _Maintenance Manager _from time to time;
- Reports all needs for repair and requests for repair to the _Maintenance Manager_.

**B. General Duties**:

- Assists with deliveries;
- Performs snow removal on all sidewalks as often as required to ensure safety;
- De-ices all sidewalks as often as required to ensure safety;
- Mows lawn areas, performs weed control and general lawn care on exterior property;
- Assists with set-up and take-down for special events;
- Other duties as required.

**Main Responsibilities at the Complex**:
The facility houses a clubhouse, two artificial turfs and 11 full size grass fields. Duties include mowing, trimming, fertilizing, watering, lining of fields and general maintenance of equipment and facility.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.50 per hour
