Cook

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of Korean dishes according to established recipes, maintaining the authenticity and flavours of each cuisine.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring they are ready for use during service.
- Meet customer preferences and dietary requirements while ensuring each dish's quality, taste, and presentation meet our standards.
- Work efficiently to ensure all food items are prepared and served promptly, minimizing customer wait times.
- Monitor food stock levels and promptly communicate with the kitchen manager to order ingredients and supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute catering events, ensuring the menu aligns with our restaurant's offerings and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly storing and labelling ingredients, utensils, and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring the kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean, sanitized, and free from hazards.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff, sharing your culinary expertise and fostering a positive teamwork environment.
- Display a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary excellence.

Qualification:

- **Food Handler or Food Safety certification** is a **must** for kitchen staff
- Experience as a Cook in a Korean/similar restaurant setting is preferred but optional.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with catering event planning and execution is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification is a plus.

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
