Key Areas of Accountability

**OPERATIONS + PRODUCTION**
- Active participation and guidance in preparation and cooking
- Ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, utilizing checklists and procedures and ensuring equipment is in working order
- Making sure health and safety standards are being upheld

**TRAINING + LEADERSHIP**
- Communicating between crew and leadership
- Helping onboard, train, develop and guide crew members
- Taking charge of shifts and leading by example

**QUALITY ASSURANCE**
- Ensuring team is set up for shift
- Maintaining consistent standards of quality with food handling
- Communication with Tasting Room Shift Leads to ensure good times for guests

Our kitchen and menu in CHWK are focused on showcasing our BEECH wood fire pizza oven and Italian-inspired dishes. The ideal person for the position would have strong leadership experience in kitchens, find meaning in honest hard work, be willing to work with and develop a small team of cooks, prepared to work with mostly farm-fresh ingredients and suppliers, have a deep desire to make darn good food, and share menu development and creative direction of food.

More specifically, the following attributes and skills would be very valuable: Extensive food prep and service experience. Leadership, training and development of kitchen staff, clear communication and developing systems and processes to strengthen operations of our kitchens to continue to have deep connections to the Fraser Valley where we live. You would be utilizing checklists, systems and processes to improve operations. This position works with and takes direction from the Kitchen Operations Lead and would coordinate areas of opportunity/improvements or concerns.

We work hard to support as many local farms, producers, and families as possible with our purchasing power. We also have our own Field House Farm in Abbotsford that we use as a creative force to drive feature menu items. There we grow varieties of produce for our kitchens and breweries that are unique to the area, extraordinarily beautiful and delicious.
