As a Production Technician, your position would include performing tasks such as assemblies of cutting edge medical devices, including the manufacturing of complex sensors into FluidAI’s new Origin product, maintenance of equipment and facilities, processing materials, testing manufactured medical products and other tasks supporting engineers in the production of FluidAI’s products.

For this role you should expect to work closely with FluidAI’s Production and Manufacturing Teams while ensuring that the principles and practices that guide our work are integrated in the services and messages we deliver.

**This position will require you to work out of our facilities in Kitchener, ON.**

**Who We Are**

FluidAI is on a mission to achieve excellence in healthcare, creating a paradigm shift in post-operative care by utilizing the data within the body to help in the detection of post-operative complications. FluidAI’s platform sensing technology enhances existing wound drains and catheters, providing healthcare providers with a smart monitoring tool that can enhance the delivery of care. Your role would be directly inline with aiding FluidAI’s Stream Platform launch, being involved with the first ever medical device designed to provide clinicians with early warning signs of complications developing after surgery with the goal of decreasing surgeon’s response time to potential complications, making patient recovery easier, and hopefully saving lives.

**Responsibilities**
- Contribute to the manufacturing activities of FluidAI’s processes by performing mechanical assembly of medical devices in accordance with work instructions. These include executing, various forms of assemblies, and testing on assembled product when applicable.
- Execute material procurement and inventory management processes while ensuring compliance to ISO standards for medical device manufacturing - ISO 13485.
- Conduct equipment and facility maintenance activities according to quality management standards.
- Continuously train on process, quality, and safety documentation.
- Provide recommendations for improvement to manufacturing engineers to increase product yields and drive efficiency.
- Comply with growing protocols as required and maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area.

**Skills/Qualifications**
- 2+ years of experience in assembling and testing mechanical products, preferably in the medical industry
- Secondary school education is required. Post-secondary school education or certification is considered an asset.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, for delicate component assembly.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and constantly changing conditions.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
- Can adapt and respond to changes to production and work processes.
- Hold yourself accountable to a high standard of work.
- Have a teamwork-oriented approach to achieving goals and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and prototyping process is considered an asset.
- Experience operating under ISO 13485 quality management system is an asset.
- Certified Production Technician certification or equivalent would be considered an asset.
