This job posting is for an existing vacancy and is intended to fill a current position within our organization.
We are currently looking for Volunteer Coordinator to join our team of committed professionals. This Full-Time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Elm, location in Sudbury
Under the leadership of the Program Manager, the Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers to support the clients and delivery of the settlement services programs.
**START DATE**: Feb 9th, 2026
**LOCATION**: 10 Elm Street unit 132
**RATE OF PAY**: $57,509.51 / Yearly
**HOURS**: 40 hours / weekly
Major Responsibilities
- Engage in active volunteer recruitment
- Screen and interview potential volunteers, adhering to YMCA recruitment procedures.
- Develop and facilitate volunteer training sessions.
- Manage volunteer opportunities within the settlement services program
- Work with community agencies to promote volunteer opportunities across the region for newcomer clients

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma or University degree in Social Sciences, or related field
- Experience in the settlement services sector
- Experience in volunteer and/or community development considered
- Knowledge of community resources
- Superior presentation/facilitation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills bilingualism is consider an asset
- Ability to research and develop workshops and presentations
- Advanced computer skills
- Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
