**RESPONSABILITIES**:
Support the Project Manager, and provide leadership to manage project construction activities to meet project KPI’s, safety, budgets, scope, schedule, and deliverables;
- Provide safety leadership to create an industry leading safe work environment;
- Establish and manage a positive safety culture to meet VTEK’s and the client requirements by ensuring the workforce is committed to an Incident and Injury Free philosophy;
- Manage the construction execution philosophy and strategies through development of construction execution plan;
- Provide constructability input and guidance to design teams;
- Manage construction related interfaces/interactions with contractors, Owners/Client, Owner/Client Representatives and other VTEK functional groups;
- Provide construction contractor oversight and support;
- Ensure contractors and tier subcontractors are qualified to perform to meet project objectives;
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure owner’s supplied materials are on site when required;
- Establish and manage all site service requirements to support construction;
- Review and monitor field work schedules and budgets and ensure contractors and tier subcontractors compliance to the construction schedule and budget;
- Resolve routine construction site issues locally and fairly;
- Assist with Project Controls deliverables: report progress, performance, initiatives, and issues;
- Manage and monitor contractors and tier subcontractors to ensure proper execution of construction according to contract terms and conditions, and in accordance with the project's plans, specifications, and standards;
- Maintain a daily log, reports, or other pertinent information regarding the project;
- Review Quality Plan requirements and ensure quality work from contractors and tier subcontractors meets or exceeds quality standards, project specifications, procedures, and design drawing requirements;
- Manage 3rd party or independent inspectors, inspections and reports with support from engineering and QA/QC;
- Ensure Mechanical Completion and Systems Completion activities are planned and safely executed;
- Assists with preparing the final close out report and turn over documents;
- Actively participate in Key Risk Assessments, Safety Analysis, Construction Readiness Reviews and/or Independent Project Reviews and manages its mitigation strategies for each;
- Manage, direct, and supervise the construction project team and is accountable for the overall performance, moral, and culture of the construction team;
