**Location**: Oakville, ON
**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee, manage and deploy Specialty Crews across all company districts, including Western Canada, to ensure the successful delivery of complex construction projects as it relates to:
- Asphalt - Placement Crews and Equipment
- Concrete
- Flatwork - Placement Crews and Equipment
- Concrete Paving - Manufacturing, Placement and Equipment
- Structures - Placement Crews and Equipment
- Accountable for KPI performance and productivity activities of specialty crews in order to attain project milestones and goals, while meeting or exceeding delivery schedules and budgets.
- Provide clear training and development to Foreperson and Craft Labour ensuring to capitalize on individual and group strengths while ensuring balanced exposure to work experience and development opportunities across all company districts.
- Oversee and manage the Quality Management System for the company.
- Liaise with Asset Manager on all Equipment and Technology requirements for all company districts.
- Liaise with Transportation Manager on all Trucking and Transportation requirements for all company districts
- Provide bid development oversight and expertise as it relates to Concrete, Asphalt, and Structure details.
- Act as local champion for roll-out adoptions of technology and innovation programs.
- Report on relevant activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of relevant KPIs.
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
- Participate, engage, and lead Construction performance Initiatives in conjunction with companies Divisional and Regional Performance Committee programs.
- Drive any necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver strategic goals.
- Support and drive Health and Safety processes and procedures within the organization implementing a behavioral approach to safety and a zero-tolerance culture.
**Requirements**:
- Post-Secondary Diploma and / or Degree in Civil Engineering with 15+ years of experience in managing complex heavy civil projects.
- 10+ years of experience managing a cross-functional team, within a matrix-driven environment.
- Ability to develop, maintain and communicate appropriate financial metrics, interpret trends, and adjust strategies as needed in response to changing market conditions and/or role requirements.
- Ability to work within a collaborative team environment and strong people leadership skills.
- Experience operating in and influencing at a strategic level.
- Excellent organizational, planning skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Customer focused & adaptable, with superb communication skills.
- Excellent Computer skills - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
