Fortran Steel Contracting is a Structural Steel and Misc. Metal Shop looking to hire a Logistics Coordinator to be responsible for overseeing all aspects and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. A Logistics Coordinator role involves coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, transport companies, customers, and erectors to ensure that shipments are made on time, and that inventory is managed properly. A Logistics Coordinator also will be responsible for verifying all types of shipments, including tacking numbers, labels, and packing slips so the product can easily be identified, traced, and delivered. Additionally, the job responsibilities of a logistics coordinator can include managing warehouse operations, monitoring supply chain activities, fleet, and equipment operations as well as building maintenance, and develop efficient strategies that can help reduce cost and delays. The Logistics Coordinator must have good communication, management, and organization skills as they will be a liaison between Project Managers, Shop Foreman, Erectors, and suppliers.

**Responsibilities and duties but not limited to**
- Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availability and requirements
- Purchase and order any materials for upcoming projects. (Ex. Steel, Bolts, Primer).
- Purchases and maintains inventory.
- Issue any drawings etc., given from project managers to the shop for fabrication.
- Maintain Fleet Vehicle - schedule any maintenance or repairs required for vehicles, forklifts, machinery, and small tools.
- Oversee building facility - scheduling any maintenance or repairs.
- Keep files and equipment files up to date. (ex. Part numbers, pricing, equipment inspections).
- Assist with any duties presented by the team. (Project Managers, Management, Estimators).

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of Structural Steel
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and assembly drawings.
- Ability to read Imperial and Metric Measuring Tape
- Positive, Energetic, and a Team player attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Valid G license.

**Schedule**:

- Monday to Thursday 730am to 5pm Friday 730am to 4pm

Experience will reflect the salary amount and will be discussed at time of interview.

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
