Ottawa, Canada Hillel Lodge Ottawa Jewish Home for the Aged Full time

We are seeking an experienced hairdresser/barber to provide hair care and barber services to the people who live in our Long-Term Care home, working a flexible schedule of approximately 15 to 30 hours per week.

You will be a great fit for this role if you are a warm and caring person, who has a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience providing high-quality hair/personal grooming services to elderly and vulnerable populations. in addition, you must possess an Ontario Hairstylist license and $ 2 Million in liability insurance.

In this role, your responsibilities will be to:

- Coordinate residents’ appointments in conjunction with the nursing staff
- Porter the residents to and from the in-house salon
- Maintain hair station cleanliness/ hygienic procedures and ensure all safety standards are met
- Supply your own hairdressing/barber supplies
- Maintain records of all applicable services rendered
- Provide consistent top quality in all services provided to residents

Located in the West end of Ottawa, Hillel Lodge has served as a home for individuals in need of long-term personal care and assistance with the activities of daily living, since it officially opened its doors with 29 beds in 1965. With a current complement of 121 beds, and housed within a thriving 13-acre Jewish Community Campus, we are is well situated to provide a wide range of programming and events to meet the diverse needs of our residents and as well as those of the community we serve.

**Experience**:
